2020 “Approaching Hypertension and Functioning Adrenal Tumours Using Technology”
Dr Michael Conall Dennedy is a consultant endocrinologist and a clinician scientist researcher with clinical and research interests in functioning adrenocortical tumours. He graduated with a BSc in Pharmacology in 1999, MB, BAO, BCh in 2002, MD in 2007 and PhD in 2013 from NUI Galway. He undertook postdoctoral studies at the Institute of Metabolic Science at the University of Cambridge between 2012 and 2014, before returning to a senior lecturer role in Pharmacology and Therapeutics at NUI Galway in 2014. He is the principle investigator for the Adrenal Research Laboratory at NUI Galway, and was the recent recipient of an R01 Tripartite US Ireland R&D Award to investigate the role of thermal therapy in managing primary aldosteronism.
