Prof. Claire Condron is the Director of Simulation Education at RCSI SIM. Claire comes from a biomedical science and education research background and holds a PhD from RCSI University of Medicine and Health Sciences and an MBA from University College Dublin. Claire works with a diverse range of health care professional faculty advising on simulation curriculum design, assessment and evaluation, integration of programs, training model design, writing and testing scenarios and training simulated participants.
Claire ran the biomedical unit in Beaumont Hospital for 20 years and has experience in supporting functional design and testing activities including human factor and usability tests, device deployment and functionality for medical device and instrumentation companies in animal models.
Claire and her team are currently working with several medical device and instrumentation designers currently including a DTIF funded sustainability grant.
