Marcos is managing partner of the company builder orgart VENTURES, and is in the board of the foodtech start-up Urbanfarmers and the internet platform cooperative Patria Digitalis. He's working as start-up coach and expert with Innosuisse (Swiss Innovation Agency, innosuisse.ch), ETH Innovation and Entrepreneurship Lab (ethz.ch/ielab), the venture business plan competition (venture.ch) and other start-up initiatives. Marcos is an entrepreneur with over 20 years of experience in the Biotech, Medtech and ICT industry. He was trained in life sciences at Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH), in business economics at University of St.Gallen (HSG), in Entrepreneurship at Babson College, and was a member of the net art collective etoy. Marcos likes science, food cultures, virgin nature, and contemporary art. In 2002 he was awarded E&Y Entrepreneur of the Year (START), 2006 with the SWITCH Innovation Award (etoy), and 2007 with the Telefonica VIDA Award (etoy).
