Ashka is a visiting student from Northeastern University in Boston, MA. Previously, she has worked on various projects such the optimization of the formula for an in-situ forming contraceptive depot, the design of a novel drug delivery device reliant upon vibration, and the characterization of liquid metal nano/microparticles for use in biomedical applications. While at CÚRAM, she will be working on the design, characterization, and optimization of a vesicle and mechanosensitive ion channel-based drug delivery system under the supervision of Dr. Mihai Lomora.
Florian Neuhaus

Florian is a visiting masters student form RWTH Aachen University in Germany and studies mechanical engineering with the specialization in medical engineering. Previously, he worked on the optimization of flow modules for novel oxygenators to reduce their hemolysis. While at CÚRAM, he is working on graded collagen hydrogels fabricated by a bioprinter under the supervision of Dr. Andrew Daly and Prof. Abhay Pandit.
