Advocacy
Caroline McGregor (University of Galway) has led a number of projects on themes of state care, past and present; child protection and family support; and youth civic and political engagement. She has worked with CÚRAM on various projects, including impact orientation and developing a framework for science advocacy in the medical device field. She currently focuses on outcomes for young people leaving care, public awareness of child protection and welfare, family support services and policy, and the interface between child protection and family support practices in child welfare. Other research interests include the history of social work and child protection in Ireland and Europe.
