Probal Basu

Probal received his PhD from the Univerzita Tomáše Bati ve Zlíně in the Czech Republic (2020), focusing on bio-polymeric biomaterials for bone tissue engineering. He has worked at the Chalmers University of Technology (2021-2022) as a WWSC postdoc fellow in Sweden and also at the University of Oslo, Norway, as a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Individual Postdoctoral Fellow. His current Marie Skłodowska-Curie Medtrain+ postdoctoral fellowship project focuses on the development of biphasic mineralised collagen-elastin tubular scaffolds for vascular grafts under the supervision of Claire Brougham (TU Dublin) and co-supervision of Fergal O’Brien (RCSI).
