Former Head of Education, Communications and Outreach at CERN
Ana Godinho was Head of Education, Communications and Outreach at CERN between 2016 and 2024. During this time, the group received two international communications awards. Ana is currently a guest researcher at the University of Zurich. Before joining CERN, Ana led communications teams at research organisations in Portugal and in the UK. She has a PhD in Developmental Neurobiology from the University of London and an MSc in Science Communication from the Open University (UK). She sits on review boards and is an invited lecturer on graduate courses in Switzerland and Portugal. Ana co-authored a children’s book of science experiments, and has collaborated in outreach projects in Europe, Africa and Brazil.
