Manfred Wuhrer is Professor of Proteomics and Glycomics and head of the Center for Proteomics and Metabolomics at the Leiden University Medical Center in the Netherlands. He develops glycoanalytical techniques aiming at high sensitivity, throughput and resolution.
Applications include the characterisation of biopharmaceuticals and endogenous human glycoconjugates in various disease settings, including infections, inflammatory and cardiovascular conditions, auto- and alloimmunity, and cancer. His research particularly focuses on the deep structural and functional characterisation of antibody proteoforms.
