Speaker: Tito Andriollo
Location: SC200A Seminar Room (NCR), University of Galway
Date: Thursday, 23th October 2025
Tito Andriollo earned his MSc and PhD degrees in Mechanical Engineering from the Technical University of Denmark and is currently a tenure-track Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical and Production Engineering at Aarhus University. His research aims to achieve a mechanistic understanding of structure–property relationships in complex heterogeneous materials through a synergistic combination of theoretical, experimental, and machine learning methods.
A key theme of his work is leveraging physics-informed machine learning to develop computationally efficient models for predicting strength and fracture properties based on experimental data describing the shape and distribution of micro-scale defects and heterogeneities.
Seminar is hosted by Bharat Tripathi.
