Prof. Dr M.A. (Marianna) Tryfonidou is a veterinary orthopedic specialist whose research focuses on regenerative treatments for neck and back pain caused by intervertebral disc degeneration in dogs and humans. Using spontaneous canine disease models and advanced biomolecular techniques, her work aims to restore disc function at early disease stages and reduce the need for invasive spinal surgery. Through close collaboration with medical and bioengineering partners, her research translates directly to both veterinary and human clinical care.
