Melanie Flint is a Professor of Stress and Cancer Research as well as the Co-Director of the Sussex Cancer Research Centre in Brighton, UK. She is also an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Department of Pharmacology at the University of Pittsburgh in Pittsburgh, PA. Melanie received her PhD in Biochemical Toxicology from Imperial College in London, UK. Professor Flint’s research focuses on the direct interplay between stress hormones and the immune and cancer cells.

The goal of Melanie Flint’s laboratory is to understand the mechanism through which behavioural stress impacts cancer initiation, progression and responses to drug treatments. Additionally, Professor Flint has completed research and authored articles on glucocorticoid receptors and GR signalling in oncology.
