Bharat Lal

Bharat Lal earned his PhD in Information and Communication Technologies from the University of Calabria, Italy, graduating with the highest distinction — Eccellente con Lode (Excellent with Honors). His doctoral research focused on compressive sensing for secure and energy-efficient healthcare applications. He also holds an MEng in Automation and Control and a BEng in Electronics Engineering from Mehran University of Engineering and Technology, Pakistan. His research interests include medical instrumentation, compressive sensing, signal processing, wearable computing, IoT, and machine learning for digital healthcare. At CÚRAM, under Derek O’Keeffe, he will develop and evaluate innovative medical devices to enhance patient care.
