Darragh Ryan

Darragh completed a BSc in Experimental Physics at University of Galway followed by an MSc in Mathematical Physics at NUI Maynooth. He has worked as a researcher in Data Science for UCD as part of a Research Ireland partnership project in collaboration with industry. He is currently working on introducing machine learning methods for improving advanced manufacturing techniques of medical devices, such as laser-enabled printing processes. An important aspect of his research focuses on the current regulatory framework and future developments in this space, in particular with regards to machine learning and AI, at University of Galway under the supervision of Gerard O’Connor and co-supervision of Elaine Harris.
