Muhammad Umair Ahmad Khan completed his PhD in Mechatronics Engineering with specialisation in medical robotics at Hanyang University, Seoul, South Korea, in 2020, followed by a postdoctoral fellowship in human robot interaction at the Industry University Cooperation Foundation (ERICA), South Korea. He later served as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Biomedical Engineering and Director of the Human Robotix Lab at UET Lahore, Pakistan. His expertise includes medical robotics, medical device design, rehabilitation robotics, soft robotics, and radiation protection. At CÚRAM, he is working under the supervision of Daniel O’Toole on disease state control of lung, blood carbon dioxide and pH during sepsis.
