Vitthal obtained his PhD in Mechanical Engineering from IIT Kanpur in 2024, in collaboration with IGMR, RWTH Aachen University, Germany. His doctoral research was focused on robot-assisted grasping and post-stroke hand rehabilitation. He contributed to the development and clinical testing of F-EL-EX, a wearable hand exoskeleton system. His interests include soft robotics and wearables. At CÚRAM, he is working on the 3D printing of sensory gloves under the supervision of Andrew Daly.
