Postgraduate Student

MedDevDoc Fellow

Yash Bhandakkar holds an MSc in Mathematics from IIT Jodhpur and a BSc from Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University. His research interests lie in scientific machine learning with the focus on healthcare applications, as demonstrated in his master’s thesis on blood flow simulation in a stenosed artery using physics informed neural network. As part of CÚRAM MedDevDoc programme, he will be conducting his PhD research at Tripathi lab under the supervision of Bharat Tripathi and Karen Doyle, focusing on the nonlinear shear wave characterisation of blood clots using advanced scientific machine learning methodologies.
