The lifETIME CDT (Engineered Tissues for Discovery, Industry, and Medicine) is a collaboration between the University of Glasgow, the University of Birmingham, Aston University, and CÚRAM – Research of Ireland.
We aim to train innovation leaders in drug discovery and regenerative medicine by developing bioengineered humanized 3D models, microfluidics, diagnostics, and sensing platforms.
Animal Free Research
The lifETIME CDT is dedicated to creating animal-free technologies for drug discovery, toxicology screening, and regenerative medicine. We are deeply committed to advancing methods that replace and minimize the use of animals in research. Additionally, we strive to eliminate the use of all animal-derived components in our in vitro biological research.
Finding A Better Way
Our graduates will acquire multidisciplinary, high-value skills in designing, creating, and applying new knowledge to expedite therapeutic discovery. Together with our industrial, clinical, and charitable partners, the lifETIME CDT will cultivate the talent pool essential for the sector’s success.
