MedTrain Plus 1

MedTrain+ is the successor Industry-Academia Training, Career Development and Mobility Fellowship Programme at CÚRAM, Research Ireland Centre for Medical Devices, following MedTrain+ (GA 101081457, December 2022 to November 2027). The MedTrain+ Programme aims to enhance the creative, entrepreneurial, and innovative potential of researchers through advanced training and international and inter-sectoral mobility. Fellows will be based at the host partner, the University of Galway, or one of the implementing partners. These three-year Fellowships include a secondment to a non-academic research partner in any country appropriate to further each fellow’s research, training and career development needs. Two fellowship levels were offered to 50 candidates over three calls, ensuring varying depths of experience.

This project has received €14M funding from the European Union’s Horizon Europe Excellent Science programme under the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions Grant Agreement [Grant Agreement No 101081457] and in part from CÚRAM, Research Ireland Research Centre for Medical Devices [under Grant Reference 13/RC/2073_P2]

Medical Device

The MedTrain+ program aims to bridge the gap between MedTech academic research and clinical application. It trains postdoctoral fellows to become the next generation of innovators in medical device development, guiding them from early research stages to market launch.
