CÚRAM’s cardiovascular research is pioneering new device-based treatments for heart diseases through cutting-edge technologies and extensive clinical trials. One of the flagship projects is the Multivessel TALENT trial, which aims to compare the novel Supraflex Cruz stent with the SYNERGY stent in patients with three-vessel coronary artery disease. This trial spans eight European countries and involves 54 hospital sites to develop advanced in silico models to enhance stent performance and clinical outcomes. Another critical initiative is the development of a novel catheter for administering therapeutic hydrogels directly to the heart muscle post-myocardial infarction, with the aim of stimulating regeneration and minimising scarring.
